Such as WeChat, on the basis of interpersonal communication also achieve information dissemination, information access. Take the "silent spiral" as an example, the theoretical research on the expression of opinion has its applicability and practicability in the traditional media age. But with the media technology and the form of communication changes, people's expression of expression also will change. In order to prove whether the "silent spiral" theory is also applicable, the academic community launched a lot of discussion and research. And put forward the "anti-spiral", "double helix" and other innovative theory. There are scholars in China to study the theory based on Weibo, but for WeChat research is still rare. Both of them are Internet media, but the expression environment, participation, discussion topic are different."Silent spiral" will also be different.In this paper, the problem is to be solved. Like, does the "silent spiral" still apply in the WeChat? Are there new features? What factors affect the shape of the spiral? What is the difference between the factors? What is the attitude of people to this? The object of this paper is the Wechat user of Chengdu university students. Using literature research, questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews to carry out research.Understand the use of WeChat situation, the expression of expression, influencing factors and attitude. After a rigorous scientific research concluded that, Individual factors in the "personal perception of the climate", "personal fear of being isolated" on the impact of expression has been weakened. But the external environment and topic content can affect the expression of the object.Finally, this paper summarizes the cognition and state of the present situation of our opinion. From a macro level, we proposed improvements. On the one hand to study the "silent spiral" theory in the new situation under the view and development, On the other hand hope to build an open, equal and rational expression of our atmosphere to give some help.
