This paper firstly analyzes the research purpose and significance of the information system electromagnetic information leakage, the development of TEMPEST technology and the trend of the development of TEMPEST technology standards at home and abroad. At the same time,it points out the necessity of the research on the information leakage of the thermal printer. Then, this paper studies and analyzes the basic principle of the thermal printer and RS232 interface, and analyzes the mechanism of electromagnetic leakage in the thermal printer. Based on the above research and analysis, this paper analyzes the mechanism of the leakage of the thermal printer, interception methods, information processing and reduction methods.After the above analysis and research system, based on a thermal printer, this paper studies the electromagnetic leakage mechanism of the intermittent type text information of the printer, and puts forward the system architecture of a practical thermal printer leaked information interception and reduction platform. This platform consists of the front-end information capture module which includes the antenna, filter and amplifier circuit, and the disclosure of information identification and reduction module which is based on a FPGA platform. This paper firstly introduces the design of filter and amplifier circuit, and then introduces the overall design of FPGA platform and analyzes the design of input and output modules. In this design of the FPGA, the selection of the Altera company's Cyclone IV E series EP4CE6F17C8 chip, Quartus II 11 programming environment and Verilog language is selected. In the above environment, the algorithm design and coding is based on the performance requirements of this study. Then with the aid of the simulation tool Modelsim, the program was simulated and verified, and the whole platform was tested in the laboratory environment. In the end, a thermal printer information capture and reduction system based on the universal test equipment for the field environment is realized.
