With the rapid development of thermal printer head and its controlling system, hot printing technique has been abroad used in the world. Hot printing technique has many advantage, sach as small volume, high printing speed and reliability, low cost, easy maintenance and easyly designed to embedded type and so on,and it has been used in the area of industry or manufacturing, transportation, business and health care and so on. Hot printing technique is primarily applied to coding printer,according to the demand of market and with the development of thermal printer head and its controlling system, this article has designed the controlling system of coding printer controlled by the S3C2440 chip based on ARM920T kernel.First of all, this article divided controlling system of coding printer into several modules, which are the drive of printer head, the drive of stepping motor, data loading module and over heat protecting module, except that, this article has analysed the principium and the application of each modules . On the basis of above, in order to design the controlling system of coding printer with good interaction of man and machine, high quality and high speed of print, at the chapter four, this article has optimized each modules of the controlling system of coding printer, and implements the tasks, such as①adopting high-performance chip of S3C2440 based on ARM920T kernel;②realize the optimization of printer head to decrease printing time;③achieve good man-machine interaction,and design the reading procedure of SD Card based on FAT32 file system;④carry out the intelligent manage of many printing tasks by transplanting the ucos operating system kernel;⑤put the optimized plan for printer head temperature control forward.At present, this article has developed the multi-task intelligent controlling system of coding printer, which have many advantages, such of simple operation and good interface and data loading by read procedure of SD Card based on common FAT32 file system, in addition the controlling system can adjust the voltage or power and heating time of printer head's heat resistance, as well as the data load mode of printer head to control the high or low powered printer head to work.
