Real-time Video Surveillance System Based On M-JPEG Over HTTP

With the improvement of the social safety awareness,more and more video surveillance equipment is installed in various locations.But these video surveillance equipment is usually open only to system administrators,ordinary users need to go to the specified location to query video data.Meanwhile,the traditional video surveillance equipment needs to lay on a dedicated circuit and can not use the existing IP network for data transmission.In order to solve the above problems,this paper presents the design and implementation of real-time video surveillance system based on M-JPEG over HTTP.M-JPEG over HTTP protocol is a kind of real-time data streams transmission network protocol based on the standard HTTP protocol.Users can access data in real-time surveillance system where they can access the Internet.And at the same time,users only need a smart terminal with a WEB browser to be able to access the real-time surveillance system.This paper studies the implementation and workflow of the open source project M-JPEG STREAMER,and analyzes scenarios for the project.Then we analyze the problem of multi-client and multi-terminal concurrent access,and on this basis we provides a framework for the overall system.The real-time monitoring system is divided into three modules,namely the camera terminal module,the management server module and transit server module.Then we perform to implement these modules by programming.Finally,all the modules of the system run the unit testing,and on this basis,we demonstrate the features of the entire real-time surveillance system.In Finally,this paper propose design problems and prospects for the future.
