In wireless communication system,single-carrier frequency domain equalization(SC-FDE)and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM)can be used to combat the multipath fading.For the SC-FDE and OFDM system,they have the same performance and implementation complexity,but SC-FDE system has the lower PAPR,and it has been used in LTE uplink.Multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)communication system establishes spatially parallel wireless communication transmission channel which maximize the use of space resources.In the channel bandwidth and transmit power remain unchanged will still be able to improve the transmission rate and quality of wireless communication systems.This paper studies the related technologies of MIMO communication system which is based on the SC-FDE transmission mode,design the common MIMO communication system hardware platform which is based on the FPGA and ARM architecture,and use the hardware platform to verify some modules of the ultra-low SNR SC-FDE communication system.Firstly,it discusses the basic principles of MIMO communication system and the space-time coding(STBC)which is used by the transmission side,analyzes the relevant principles of SC-FDE,including the channel estimation and various frequency domain equalization(ZF,MMSE,DFE,etc.).And then combining with the relevant principles of MIMO and SC-FDE designs the MIMO-SCFDE communication platform under the ultra-low SNR.Secondly,referring the system design and combining with the design process of hardware platform,this paper design and realize the MIMO hardware platform.From various parts of the system power supply design to completed the hardware platform debugging,this process of the drawing the schematic involves the selection of various chip,the power and clock circuit,and various interface circuits,etc.While the hardware debugging process,completing all the underlying chip configuration and debugging driver interface,including DDR3,Gigabit Ethernet ports,the high-speed port which is based on GTX,etc.Finally,based on the hardware platform,this paper completes the testing of some parts of the transmitting and receiving end,the IF transmitting and receiving module.Through the laboratory and field practical test,the system can achieve to receive the right signal which is transmitting under the ultra-low SNR between-40dB and-50dB,And verify the correctness of our design platform.
