With the rapid development of virtualization, cloud computing and big data technology, new business and network operators, mobile Internet and other areas of innovative applications and networks have emerged, the industry of Internet scale, function and performance and other aspects of the increasingly high demand. The existing network equipment maintenance management is responsible, and the complexity and diversity of the underlying communication protocol will affect the performance of the traditional network. Therefore, software defined network (Software Defined Networking, SDN) has brought subversive changes to the entire network architecture, provides a programmable network interface to the network brings the programmable characteristic,on the other hand the separation is easy to manage and maintain the data layer and control layer for decoupling, assured the future development of the network. The new architecture and development direction.In the SDN network architecture, the controller as the core of the brain has been the focus of the industry. In order to solve the single point failure problem of a single controller, the scalability of the controller is studied in this paper. For this reason, the cluster controller arises at the historic moment, and realizes the information interaction between the cluster controllers through the cooperation of the slave controller and the data sharing.This paper first analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of several controller expansion solutions, and combining the analysis of existing server cluster, virtual cluster technology and SDN network characteristics,on this basis, choose OpenDaylight as the main controller of open source open source research and development object. Secondly, we set up three experimental controller examples, respectively, according to the operator network application scenarios to design different partition functions, and the completion of the code development. It focuses on the research and analysis of the controller cluster technology, including the key characteristics of cluster communication, data caching, cluster access,information synchronization and so on. Again to verify the performance of the cluster controller, we will use OVS to simulate the underlying network nodes, build the SDM-EON experimental network scenario, the cluster SDON controller is applied to the performance test for different traffic loads and the collaborative work mechanism of testing and testing disaster recovery mechanisms. The cluster software defined optical network controller is used in the spatial multiplexing optical fiber network to reconstruct the data by using the principle of multidimensional resource defragmentation (MDRD) reconstruction algorithm. The experimental results show that the controller using cluster technology can provide fast and effective reconstruction of both the spectrum and the spatial resources of the dual latitude compared with the traditional single controller.
