The development of the IOT technology and the mobile Internet directly promote the formation of ubiquity networks. In that context, the centralized controlling access mode fails to meet the communication needs of the ubiquity networks.Mobile Ad Hoc Network, due to its flexibility and extensibility in network formation, can be used in military communication network, sensor network and Internet of vehicle, etc.Routing protocol of high efficiency and reliability has always been the research focus, for wireless Ad Hoc network possesses particular characteristic, such as node mobility, the instability of the wireless link and the limited computing and storage capacity of the node itself. For Ad Hoc networks, hybrid routing protocols combine proactive routing protocols with on-demand routing protocols and take advantages of both. However, the cost in delays and overheads resulted from simple domain formation algorithm of existing hybrid routing protocols is a main obstacle in improving the performance of overall Ad Hoc network.Owing to the above issues,we here apply the idea of clustering routing to hybrid routing protocols and propose a centralized adaptive domain formation algorithm. The main contents are as follows. In the first part,we focus on the working mechanism of hybrid routing protocols in mobile ad hoc network.Through in-depth research of the domain formation algorithm in hybrid routing protocol,we discover that there are certain limitations in high node density, frequent moving scenarios. Then we put forward a domain adjustment mechanism for hybrid routing protocols which is suitable for the frequent moving scenario. The domain formation algorithm can also be applied to the selection of administration node in wireless multiple-hop network, sensor network, providing a theoretical basis for the practical application of these networks.
