Amusing Ourselves To Death And Rational Construction-Entertainment Impacts And Influences On Public Sphere

Since the 21st century,the world developed into the real age of the Internet.Various new media emerged in endlessly.There were many great changes have taken place in communication tools.Under the background of the new media environment,the network public sphere became a new hot topic.Weibo has received more and more attention,too.As a new media,due to the huge amounts of information,efficient communication,wide coverage,and strong interaction,Weibo is increasingly becoming the main channel of obtaining information.Many scholars considered Weibo a new public sphere.Nowadays,entertainment diffuses in various fields as a overwhelming tendency,and Weibo also presents the entertainment atmosphere.This kind of phenomenon on the one hand,expanded the spread of events,and optimized the public's free way to expression.It not only stimulates the development of the social and public events,but also guides people continue to pay close attention to social events;on the other hand,it weakened the Weibo's role in guiding public opinion and social education,distracted Weibo from normal track,and caused bad effects on the public's rationality and critical spirit.Entertainment is one of the functions of mass communication,and also one of the people's daily needs.Only if make good use of the double-edged sword,the Weibo public sphere will develop healthily.Therefore,discussing the network public sphere not only has important research value,but also has important practical significance to the Chinese society's democratic development.In this article,we mainly discuss the possibility of Sina Weibo build public sphere,and the entertainment phenomena on Sina Weibo.I hope use the theory of Journalism and Communication comprehensively analyzes entertainment of Weibo public sphere.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part is about the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background,research significance,and research methods.The second part is about the general situation of the Weibo public sphere,including the definition,characteristics and the rise of the public sphere,then expounds the reasons and performances of the entertainment of Weibo.The fourth part is the theme of this paper.I use two cases to elaborate the double effects on the entertainment of the public sphere.The fifth part of the paper puts forward suggestions from the perspective of the public sphere construction.It is very important for the public,the media and the government to build public sphere.The sixth part is the last chapter of this paper.In this part I make a summary based on the results of the previous research.We do hope that Weibo can promote the public sphere develop healthily and orderly,and promote China's democratic society progress.
