| Since the 1990s, the "entertainment news" has gradually become focused by the news industry and academia. Many scholars take it as a scourge, but also some scholars plead for it. It is undeniable that the news industry has pursued with its Ka, which can not but be regarded as a paradox.For the current phenomenon of entertainment news, just as this topic has said, we can not deny it completely, either should glorify it loudly. No matter the news industry or theoretical circles, all should be keep dialectical to it and gain a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon. We must figure out its negative influence, but also admit the existence of reasonability and inevitability.This paper will propose the phenomenon of entertainment news into the phenomenon of the background of the times in which popular culture rise rapidly and the elite cultural decline inevitably, mainly according to Freud's analysis of the spirit of "Happy principle" and "reality principle" theory, regard the audience as an individual with many different needs in various levels, and will it from the perspectives of media practitioners and the audiences, select some famous authority of the scholars, to find comparison of theory on entertainment news. This article will select the critical theory of Adorno, Marcuse and Benjamin anti-critical theory and Lowenthal.This paper will get an dialectical understanding of the phenomenon of entertainment news which have the merits and demerits, will explore the areas from "to or not to entertainment news " to "how to guide the entertainment news ", and lead it to sound development, resist its tendency to yellow sheet, avoid enlarging the entertainment functions . At the same time explore the dual impact of entertainment news in the building of a harmonious society.
