With the fast growing information technology,industrial control technology is also entering the period of networking and intelligent, the industry control system of using wireless network technology has advantages of low cost, high flexibility and convenient maintenance and so on. In this context, the application of wireless network technology in the industrial field has become one of the symbols of the development of industrial control network.WIA-PA is more than 10 companies in China under the support of the national 863 research and development, is an industrial automation wireless network standard technology. It is based on changes in the surrounding environment to ensure the reliability and stability of data transmission. Routing technology is a key technology in WIA-PA, mainly for Mesh layers in WIA-PA. In the present study, techniques in Ad Hoc networks are often used in the wireless Mesh networks.AODV (Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing) is one of the most popular routing protocols in the Ad Hoc networks. It has the advantages of fast response speed,high quality and high band utilization. However, because the complexity of the industrial environment is much more complicated than that in the ordinary environment, the traditional AODV routing algorithm can not fully meet the needs of the industrial control wireless network.In this paper, the author analyzes the characteristics of the industrial control wireless network and the AODV routing protocol, proposes a fault-tolerant routing algorithm for industrial control wireless networks based on AODV (FITW-AODV).This paper first summarizes the research status of wireless network in today's industrial field, analyzes the characteristics and existing problems of WIA-PA industrial automation wireless network standard technology and AODV on-demand routing protocol, and introduces the main network layer fault-tolerant algorithm. Then, a fault-tolerant routing algorithm for industrial control wireless network based on AODV is proposed. This routing algorithm creates a backup route for each node of the primary route. When the data transfer error occurs, the next communication will select the appropriate backup route to transfer the data. Select the backup route in addition to the number of hops and serial number, but also according to the probability of each node's error. Finally, the simulation experiment is carried out by NS2 simulation software.The results show that the FTICW-AODV algorithm proposed in this paper has improved the data packet delivery rate and end-to-end average delay compared with the traditional AODV algorithm.
