A Research On The Noble Prize In Natural Science From People's Daily

As one of the main ways for information convey, mass media is also the primary channel for reporting scientific news. Recently, the award ceremony of Nobel Prize in science was published, winning interest and attention of media all around the world.By reporting scientific events, media can not only diffuse scientific news, but also improve citizen's scientific literacy and quality.This paper is based on the reports related to Nobel Prize in science that were published on People's Daily. The author adopted Zang Guoren's framing theory, and analyzed 301 reports on Nobel Prize in science published on People's Daily from the first issue to the end of 2016 from three levels, namely, high level, medium level and basic level. Besides, the author classified these reports according to their publish time,and did a research on the rheology.On the macro level framing analysis,from the space location, quantity of reports,genre, news sources, reporting theme, coverage analysis of six aspects of the Nobel prize in science on People's Daily news topic: being arranged in the international and science and technology version, little proportion in the total amount of the annual report,every year difference,the main source from news reporters. Medium level from the main event, previous events and history, influence and attribution and assess seven aspects has carried on the report content construction analysis: "the main event"has the highest proportion, but also pay attention to the Nobel Natural Science Prize"history" and "assessment" report. At the micro level of news text structure, starting from the Nobel natural scientists reported samples of title key words and pictures using two aspects: Title keywords in scientific terms in the lowest frequency; the overall picture uses less, with photography pictures.The reports on Nobel Prize in science published on People's Daily show different features in different periods. In 1948, People's Daily was founded. From then on, the reports on Nobel Prize in science were unitary in genre and few in number. Less attention was paid on Nobel. It was the same until 1977, the year before the reform and opening-up. From 1978 to 2000, People's Daily emphasized the popularization of Nobel Prize knowledge. It paid more attention to foreign citizen of Chinese origin.From 2001 to 2014, the Nobel Prize "knot" kept developing,,showing a trend of hero narration,and the related reports showed a trend of sense. In 2015, Tu Youyou was awarded Nobel Medicine Prize. People's Daily published not only the news, but also a great number of reports on traditional Chinese medicine, making it a significance topic combined with the times.From the analysis of framework and rheology, we can see that the Nobel prize in Natural Science in People's Daily has undergone a process from nothing to nothing.At the same time, we can see that the People's Daily reports lack of in-depth reports,"Star", "competitive" and so on. In this regard, this paper puts forward some improvement suggestions: strengthening the agenda setting role; as far as the more vocal class, in order to balance the public right of discourse; promote the media and exchange of scientists; in addition to pay attention to scientific and technological knowledge, we should also pay attention to spread the spirit of science, science of science, to promote public scientific literacy.
