A Study On Present Situation And Developmental Strategy Of Western Regional University Museums

University museums crystallizing history and civilization,embody an indispensable important wealth to a university,and let more people share a spiritual heritage,the existence of university museums has an irreplaceable meaning for the whole social civilization progress and the school development compared with other social and cultural facilities.Now many colleges and universities have set up their own museums,there is no doubt that the construction of the university museums plays an important role for showing its image to the outside and serving the internal teaching and scientific research.As a special member of the museum community,the function of the university museum is becoming more and more significant.Western regions refer to economy less developed areas in economy,mainly including twelve regions,such as Chongqing municipality,Sichuan province,Guizhou province.Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region,due to the continuous development of the regional economy and various preferential policies of the country,there are a lot of excellent university museums,such as Sichuan University museum,Northwestern University museum,Northwest Normal University museum,Chengdu university of science and technology museum,Hezhou College ethnic cultural museum,and so on.However,generally speaking,many problems still remain in the construction of university museums,such as relatively lagging behind of construction?big development gap compared with central and eastern developed areas,unbalanced development between universities and colleges on the western region museums.Many colleges and universities have been fully recognized the importance of museums,the exhibition halls for their own cultural construction,and have embarked on the related work.Facts have proven that under the current conditions of economic and social development,colleges and universities in western regions carry out the construction of the museums,like the channel is readily formed just as water comes——success is assured when conditions are ripe,it has become the consensus of many universities.Therefore,this article attempts to do research of the university museums in western regions,analyses the development of museums in colleges and universities under the current existing conditions,explores "bottleneck" appeared in the development of museums in colleges and universities,and offers strategies that are suitable for various types of museum development colleges and universities.As western ethnic group regions,the economic development level has a greater gap compared with eastern developed regions,owing to different social characteristics,and its own characteristics in culture.So experience of other areas and the western can not be copied completely in the museum construction strategy,we must explore the development path suited to its own characteristics,make clear the path,and put forward specific and feasible measures,but also provide a reference for the construction and development of other university museums.The text consists of three parts:the introduction,the body,and the conclusion of the text.The body includes four chapters.The introduction mainly includes the background of the topic,the status of research and the relevant concepts of museums,university museums,universities and western regions.The first chapter introduces the general situations of university museum construction in western regions and some successful examples,including Sichuan University museum,Northwest University museum,Yunnan University anthropological museum and Hezhou College ethnic cultural museum,and Guangxi Normal University Wangcheng Campus museum that is under construction.The second chapter discusses in detail the features,values and the development trend of the university museum in the western regions,based on the analysis of University Museum data,this paper gives a detailed review of the development of university museums in the western regions.The third chapter mainly analyzes the problems existing in the university museums in the western regions.From the current situation of the development of university museums,there are many problems,such as unclear management authority,insufficient attention,imperfect system and mechanism,and difficult innovation in operation and management.The fourth chapter aims at the existing problems in the university museums in the western regions,and analyzes the countermeasures and suggestions of how to further promote the development of university museums from macro and micro aspects.On the macro level,the Ministry of education and the Ministry of culture of our country should improve the policy,clearly definite the University Museum management ownership,so a clear understanding of the development of university museums situation will be made from a higher position,following the example of developed areas on the establishment of University Museum alliance,the western region can also set up the University Museum alliance,promote the development of the University Museum in western regions more specialized,standardized and institutionalized.
