Study On Report Of Gold Certificate Reform

In 1948,during the Chinese Civil War,the Kuomintang government promoted Gold certificate reform mightily,which had an adverse impact on the development of the Chinese economy and the life of people who lived in Kuomintang-controlled areas.In that year,those influential events were also reflected by newspapers.The tenet of different newspapers determined that they will have various positions and tendencies to the same incident.In the year of 1948,"Central Daily" was the organ of the Kuomintang party."Ta Kung Pao" was an independent private newspaper and "Shun Pao" was a standard party newspaper which were both controlled by Kuomintang.so,about the reports and the public opinion on the Gold certificate reform,there must be some similarities and differences between them.In a word,Gold certificate reform was an original social issue and it has turned into a media issue gradually.The interaction of these newspapers lead the direction of public opinion.In this paper,the author attempts to study some reports of "Central Daily","Ta Kung Pao" and "Shun Pao" about the Gold certificate reform and get to know what the role of these papers in that public opinion period:it is biased to the Kuomintang authorities and maintains their ramshackle rule,or it is biased to the folk standpoint and devoted to reconstructing the relationship between state and society.Therefore,this paper is divided into four chapters.In the first chapter,the author uses macroscopic outline method to comb changes of modern China's political and economic context vertically.Meanwhile,it summarizes the development and evolution of "Central Daily","Ta Kung Pao" and"Shun Pao",points out the interaction between their tenets and modem China's political and economic context.From this,the real role of "Central Daily","Ta Kung Pao" and "Shun Pao" can be explored.In the second chapter,the author will introduce the Gold certificate reform,which was a historic event in the modem Chinese history,happened in 1948.The author will also point out the historical context and significant impact of the event.Subsequently,the article will use the triple vision of "Central Daily","Ta Kung Pao","Shun Pao" to present this historical event ",and through the related reports of the three newspapers,show a different media images of the Gold certificate reform.In the third chapter,the author will compare the three newspapers' reports about the reform of Gold certificate reform.This chapter will focus on the several major cases as a case study,which were selected from the process of reform,including the"Chiang Ching-kuo beat the tiger","buy wave" and so on.Then,put it in the vision of three newspapers,to examine the similarities and differences of the public opinion between the "Central Daily","Ta Kung Pao" and "Shun Pao",to examine the positions and attitudes of these three newspapers about the event of reform of Gold certificate reform.In the fourth chapter,this article will summarize the above questions,and try to explore the political identification problems of "Central Daily","Ta Kung Pao" and"Shun Pao" during that period.And find out the three newspapers in what way to participate in the reconstruction of the relations between the state and the society during the Gold certificate reform.In the conclusion,the author points out that the newspapers play an important role in modem Chinese context changes.The tendency of public opinion can be divided into two categories,one is biased towards the state and political parties,the other is biased towards social and civil society.The two differences role-playing of newspapers have a significant impact on modem Chinese national destiny.In 1948,the "Central Daily","Ta Kung Pao" and "Shun Pao" reconstructed the relationship between the state and the society,through the different public opinion guidance of the Gold certificate reform.
