During the War of Liberation, young college students from Peking under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, became an important part of the second front and made an indelible historical contribution to the victory of the Chinese revolution. As a barometer of the war situation, newspapers in wartime must pay attention to this second front of students. The media's guidance for the student movement will inevitably affect the construction of public opinion in the second battlefield of the KMT-controlled areas, and the reconstruction of the state and society. The aim held by different newspapers determines that their narratives for the same incident will have different positions and tendencies. The"Liberation Daily"as the official organ of the Communist Party of China,"Central Daily"as the mouthpiece of the Kuomintang, and"Ta Kung Pao"as a relatively neutral private newspaper with political positions, their reports on the Peking Student Movement and their public opinion are bound to be different.Overall, the reports of the three newspapers not only presented a complete image of the student movement in Peking, but also led to spontaneous student movement into a highly concerned political unrest.Through the research on the report of the Peking Student Movement in the"Liberation Daily","Central Daily"and"Ta Kung Pao"during this period, the author examines the re-emergence of the formation of the second front of students and the battlefield of KMT-controlled area.In this regard, this paper is divided into four chapter. The first chapter outlines the changes in the domestic war situation since the total resistance in the September 18,1931,and overviews the development of the"Liberation Daily","Central Daily"and "Ta Kung Pao".Its own reporting policies interact with the modern Chinese war.It aims to examine the role played by the"Liberation Daily","Central Daily"and "Ta Kung Pao" in the wars of various stages of modern China. The second chapter is a longitudinal analysis of the media images of Peking Student Movement that presented in three newspapers. From the perspective of the second front of the Liberation War,the Peking Student Movement from August 1945 to 1948 can be roughly divided into two stages:the prelude of the Peking Student Movement and the formation and development of the second front.Subsequently, this article will present the same historical events in the three media views of the"Liberation Daily","Central Daily"and"Ta Kung Pao".Through the relevant reports of the three newspapers in this period, the Peking Student Movement will be displayed at different stages. The third chapter will conduct a comparative study on the incident reports of the Peking Student Movement in the three newspapers. It will focus on"Shen Chong Case" and Peking"May 18th Massacre"as a major media issue in the process of Peking Student Movement.Through the analysis of the texts of news reports and editorial articles,it explores the tendency of"Liberation Daily","Central Daily"and"Ta Kung Pao,",with a view to gaining a deeper understanding of the positions and attitudes of the three newspapers in the development of the Peking Student Movement. The fourth chapter will explore the differences and changes in the political demands of"Liberation Daily","Central Daily"and "Ta Kung Pao" during the civil war.And it discusses that how to construct the battlefield of public opinion in the National War of Liberation War of three newspapers. In summary, the military front and the second front constitute two important battlefields of the Liberation War.During the development of the Peking Student Movement, the political appeals and positions of various newspapers were reflected in the media presentation of the Peking Student Movement. The tendencies of media reports in the three newspapers are related to both the student group and the community. Thus, from 1945 to 1948,the media reports of the Peking Student Movement in"The Liberation Daily","Central Daily"and"Ta Kung Pao" gradually constructed a public opinion battlefield of KMT-controlled areas, and even affected the process of liberation war.
