Digitalization is the technical foundation of the information society,and digital technology is triggering a wide range of media revolutions.VR(Virtual Reality)as a product of the digital age,is at an incredible speed influencing people's production and life.Virtual reality technology is not only providing a new technology for the development of the news industry,but also breaking the visual mode of transmission of the traditional news to establish a new vision,a new future and a new platform.In2016 as "the first year of VR",virtual reality journalism sprang up like the mushrooms,and the form of visual communication of information tended to be diversified.In this case,the visual communication research on virtual reality journalism is particularly important.This thesis studies the virtual reality journalism as an emerging media form from the visual communication.Firstly,elaborating the concept definition and development of virtual reality journalism and visual communication of virtual reality respectively.Secondly,it combines the classic cases and contrasts with the traditional media,systematically summarizing the characteristics of the visual communication of virtual reality journalism from the aspects of audio-visual space,manifestation and transmission subject.Thirdly,it focuses on the application status of the visual communication of virtual reality journalism,and selects works of 12 medias from2016 to 2017 year in the national "two sessions" report.Then studying the status quo of the visual communication of virtual reality journalism from the content and form,and an investigation of the satisfaction of the user experience.Fourthly,through the application of the status quo analysis,the thesis explores virtual reality journalism summarizes the problems existing in the process of visual communication,and summarizes the three problems of "3T" like technology,content,and Truth.Finally,some suggestions are put forward based on the above problems.About the research method,this thesis uses the content analysis method,the questionnaire survey method and the interview method.From the content analysis,the thesis chooses 187 virtual reality works for analysis in the different types of 12 media of the national "two sessions".At the same time,the author interviewed the deputy editor Chengye Lu in Guangming Online multimedia studio,editor Nan Xu at VR/ AR channel of the Xinhua Net and the reporter Yanliang Zhang of the Paper news,who use the virtual reality technology in the national "two sessions".Through the questionnaire survey and user interviews,the application status quo and problems about virtual reality journalism of visual communication are analyzed.In addition,this paper uses the Gestalt visual theory and "Simulacra theory" of Baudrillard to argue the view.Through the use of research methods and theories,we can enhance the credibility of the argument,making it more rich,effective and justified.It is hoped that this study will help other researchers to further explore the visual communication of virtual reality journalism,so that virtual reality technology can serve the future of journalism better.
