Research On Prevention And Control Mechanism Of Information Overload On The Web Based On The User's Information-acquisition Behavior

Up to now,the amount of information that people are exposed to on the web is almost doubled as the geometric growth.The rapid growth of information brings rich information resources and more choices for people,but also causes the problem of information overload and other issues.The overload of the Internet information may have all kinds of negative impacts on users,especially on the poor efficiency of getting information.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to study how to relieve or even avoid the problem of information overload and other negative impacts and to make web users use information effectively.This thesis is based on the perspective of the user information acquisition behavior to study the prevention and control mechanism of information overload.The thesis holds the opinion that information overload is a kind of disutility of users' information access.The study of the prevention and control system of information overload can be based on the research of the elements of web users' information access utility and its mechanism of action.So the problem of information overload can be targeted to be prevented and controlled.This thesis is based on the exploring of the reason and damage of information overload by summing up the affecting elements at every stages of web users' information acquisition,so as to build the model of web users' information acquisition behavior.This thesis uses the method of structural equation modeling to carry on the confirmation analysis of theoretical model and finallyproposes the prevention and control mechanism of information overload.This thesis holds that the influencing factor of web users' information acquisition behavior can be studied from the perspectives of subject and object.Among them,the main factors include five indicators,and the object factors include three indicators.It can be found that each index has different effect to the three stages of information acquisition process,through the multiple regression analysis and structural equation model roadmap builded by Amos 20.Based on this,the thesis discusses the prevention and control mechanism of information overload.
