The millimeter wave band has the characteristics of Short wavelength,strong anti-interference ability and good penetration.The miniaturization of the device is further promoted by the characteristics of Short wavelength of millimeter wave.At the same time,in view of the characteristics of strong anti-interference ability and good penetration of millimeter wave,Millimeter wave radar has been developed rapidly and widely used.The topic is the "millimeter wave transmission and reflection characteristics of the test system" decomposition task.The research and design of the receiver front-end for the Ka band radar test system is studied in the paper.Test system requirements can be achieved for the near field and far field of the object measurement.At the same time,the system can work in two modes of continuous wave and pulse wave.As a result of the project requirements,both the receiver and the transmitter are designed to be two.The front end of the transceiver uses a modular design,which is mainly divided into the millimeter wave module and the microwave module.Finally,the topic realizes cascade of modules and verify design results.This paper,firstly,state the characteristics of millimeter wave.Then the development status of the millimeter wave radar at home and abroad is introduced.The above two points provide some reference and guidance for the development of the subject.A brief introduction to several common design schemes of the front end of the receiver and the receiver is introduced.And carries on the detailed comparison thus according to the topic needs to confirm this design uses the plan.As this topic uses the modular design and the final cascade test method.So after determining the design plan,in this paper the design of each module individually combining theoretical guidance and project target assignment.Finally,the test and verification of each module are carried out.This paper introduces the design principle and scheme selection of transmitter in detail,including the source module,power amplifier module,Transmitter end double frequency drive module?In addition,this paper also carries out the design summary of the down mixer module and the intermediate frequency filter amplifier module of receiving front end.Finally,this paper designed the cascaded receiver front-end and transmitter front-end modules,then to test the performance of the transceiver front-end cascaded.Finaly the paper records the test results of the assembled product.In view ofsome problems in the design process of transceiver front end,some improvement suggestions are put forward.
