A Research Of Auxiliary Reading Behavior Patterns Within The Document Based On Eye Movements Analysis

Reading is a cognitive process behavior obtaining relative information from the wring material.The study of reading will help you explore the characteristics of language processing and the psychological mechanism of human understanding language.At present,the research methods of reading behavior mainly are questionnaire investigation,interview method,the task to judge method,etc.Such methods can not scientific measure instantaneous processing procedure of reading comprehension.At the same time,the eye movement analysis method which has been largely applied,is one of the effective methods to research users' reading process.At present,the eye movement analysis mainly focused on the fixation point and area of interest,relatively few studies concentrate on content.In this paper,the research purpose is to answer whether there is a certain eye movement behavior patterns in reading,and the question of what are the typical models.The researcher Chose 24 graduate student from Wuhan university as the research object,used eye movement instrument to record their eye movement process when they reading articles to answer different difficult degree problem.By analyzing relevant data,the researcher explored the reading behavior patterns from fixation point,interest region and observed content three aspects,then analyzed the characteristics of different behavior patterns.This paper discovers that the the document reading mode user adopts including:the first screen-intensive document reading mode,the full text-oriented document reading mode,the cycle reading mode,the combination of reading mode,followed by reading mode,top-down reading mode.The semantic-based jump reading strategy,the use of multiple combinations of patterns and the use of background knowledge of the reading strategy is an efficient reading strategy.On this basis,the author makes suggestions on improving the reading effect of users from five aspects:user perception,cognitive load,interaction interface,reading strategy and document assistant.
