From the Social aspect,China is aging society. We should pay more attention on a large number of the elderly. From the policy aspect, the “11th 5-year plan” clearly put forward to promote reading as one of the main task of the cultural development that means “national reading” has become the focus. From the reading trend, the rising digital reading is very popular. To sum up,the research on reading behavior and acceptance of the elderly is valuable. My study is based on the technology acceptance model which combine "self-efficacy" and "social norms" to study digital reading behavior and the acceptance of the elderly. My respondents are from Shanghai and Mianyang, and have got 322 valid questionnaires.Path through the AMOS software, found that only one hypothesis is not passed. The conclusion is as follows: the elderly's self-efficacy positively influence their perceived ease of use of digital reading; The elderly's perceived usefulness of digital reading will bring positive influence on their attitude towards digital reading; The perceived usefulness does not bring positive influence on digital reading;Perceived ease of use of digital reading have positive influence on perceived usefulness, attitude and reading behavior;Social norms has positive effects on attitude and reading behavior;the attitude of digital reading is positively influence reading behavior. As we all know, there is a lack of research for the elderly, especially the research between the elderly and digital reading. The contribution of my study is that building the new model to study digital reading among the elderly, which is more suitable for such problem. And my study also try to make a good life for the elderly.Because of the lack of money and the difficulty of the study my respondents are not that much of representativeness.
