| The development of mobile communication technology helps the public achieve the aspiration to access to the mobile Internet anytime anywhere and people's expectations of intelligent information services are met with the development of mobile Internet and mobile devices.Many colleges and universities in China gradually regard mobile services as the development focus of library information services by virtue of the organic combination of mobile Internet and mobile terminal equipment.Currently mobile smart terminal APP has swept the world,many enterprises,governments and organizations are committed to the creation or development of exclusive APPs and university libraries also conform to the trend of the times to launch APP mobile services combined with their own resource characteristics.However,due to the late start of the domestic library APP,there are some shortcomings in the function and interface design.Coupled with the users'growing demand for mobile services in library,library APP mobile services are facing new challenges.There are many colleges and universities in Anhui province,but the university libraries have showed varying performance in launching library APP and there are significant differences in user use,promotion and other aspects.With university libraries in Anhui province as the object of study,this paper selects the four batches of colleges and universities in Anhui province for field investigation and case analysis,thereby providing suggestions to optimize the mobile information services of the university libraries in Anhui province.This paper is divided into six parts.Part I,as an introduction,describes the concept and characteristics of APP,introduces the trend that domestic and international libraries begin to use APP to provide mobile information services in the context of rapid development of mobile Internet and expounds its practical significance.Part II describes the APP development in the university libraries in Anhui province,uses the network research method and literature research method for the systematic investigation of 119 colleges and universities in Anhui province,and compares the APP development mode,system performance,function setting and promotion way in various university libraries,thereby forming the intuitive and systematic understanding of APP service development in university libraries in Anhui province.Part III investigates and analyzes the APP mobile service in four colleges and universities in Anhui province with the questionnaire survey method as the main and supplemented by the interview method and network survey method.With our different batches of colleges and universities,namely,University of Science and Technology of China,Hefei University,Anhui Xinhua College and Anhui Vocational and Technical College,as the object of the case analysis,this part conducts an in-depth study of the basic settings,publicity methods and user experience of library APP and summarizes and analyzes common problems through the actual investigation.Part IV analyzes the causes of the problems in APP mobile services in colleges and universities in Anhui province,thereby finding out the reasons for the problems in the APP service process in the university libraries in Anhui province and putting forward targeted countermeasures.Part V puts forward the corresponding solutions and suggestions to improve APP mobile service in university libraries in Anhui province based on the problems found in the investigation and the cause analysis.Part VI,as the conclusion and prospect,summarizes the investigation contents,explains the shortcomings of the investigation and looks ahead at the future research direction.It is hoped that this investigation and analysis can provide reference for the future informationization of university libraries in Anhui province and urge university libraries in Anhui province and even throughout the country to take new steps in APP mobile services and provide the users with better and faster mobile information services. |
