With the continuous development of WeChat and the expansion of its influence,WeChat for the user's meaning is no longer limited to “social tools.” WeChat public platform and WeChat friends circle privide and share a variety of news and links,which together promote the development of Wechat News.News consumption patterns are increasingly mobilized,and Wechat News consumption is becoming more and more popular.Wechat News plays an increasingly important role in the news communication,and have a subtle influence on college students.This paper objects Wechat News,in the angle of news consumption,and aim to investigate the young people in the colleges and universities.This paper systematically investigates the social structure characteristics and news consumption of WeChat users by using the deep interview method and the questionnaire survey method,and 502 samples were obtained.This paper mainly uses the theory of use and satisfaction,Maslow's hierarchy of needs,and the theory of consumption in economics.For the statistical results of the questionnaire,this paper mainly analyzes the current situation of news consumption of microblogging students from the three levels of carrier,media and audience.Through the above study,we can found: College students have a wide range of time and space distribution for micro-news consumption;College students mainly use WeChat to read,and then use as supplementary as a social tool.The richness and convenience of the carrier have a positive effect on the Wechat News consumption of college students.The characteristics of perceived media and the evaluation of media reputation,visibility,content and forms are positively related to the Wechat News consumption of college students.Participation,image,choice,competition,herd,pressure,habits and other consumer psychology has a great impact on college students Wechat News consumption.At the end of this paper,the author puts forward some suggestions on how to meet the needs of college students in the news consumption,and provides a reference for the Wechat News to meet the consumer demand of college students.
