The research work of this dissertation revolves around the radio frequency circuit of Rubidium atomic frequency standard(RAFS).It studys the reason why the radio frequency circuit affects the indicators of RAFS emphatically.The first chapter of the article describes the history of development of time and atomic frequency briefly,and it introduces the principle and development of RAFS.It also discusses the development of RAFS in the future.This article points out that RAFS still has a large space in further miniaturization,low power consumption and improving the indicators.Due to the favorable environmental adaptability of the RAFS and the superior frequency stability characteristics in the portable frequency standard,RAFS will be widely used whether now or in the future.It is based on this point,the article begins to discuss the microwave power fluctuations question in detail from the second chapter from the perspective of the RF circuit.And it comes to a conclusions through experiments.The temperature fluctuation affects the amplitude and waveform of the RF signal,which led to microwave power fluctuations,increasing the temperature sensitivity and restricting the long-term frequency stability of RAFS.This article points out that controlling of RF signal amplitude and waveform simultaneously can improve the microwave power stability effectively.And it gives the new RF circuit and preliminary test results.In addition,this article also studies how to reduce the power consumption of RF circuit.And it points out the reason why the power consumption of existing RF circuit is high,that is because of the great loss of power consumption during microwave mixing,and this requires a large enough RF signal amplitude.The most important to reduce the power consumption of RF circuit is to remove the microwave mixing in the last stage,and the modulation signal is generated in the preceding stage,and then this article gives the new RF circuit and preliminary test results.
