Radar and communication technology has made significant development,due to the current complex electronic confrontation environment,the integration and performance requirement of the system is getting higher and higher.In this situation,radar communication integration is one of the key technologies.Now the radar communication integrated system design is mainly to reuse the signal that is able to pass the communication information and achieve the radar detection function.In this thesis,Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(OFDM)technology is used to the signal design of integrated system.The main work is as follows:(1)The principle and feasibility of the integrated system are analyzed and the design and evaluation criteria of the integrated signal are provide.Further,we simulate the typical radar signals and analyze their radar performance,such as the rectangular pulse radar signal,the pulse radar signal,the LFM radar signal and the phase-coded radar signal.Finally,we analyze the communication performance under OFDM modulation.(2)The performance of OFDM signals in terms of ambiguity function,and the influence of communication data and cyclic prefix on radar performance,as well as the performances of OFDM pulse train signals are analyzed.The integrated signal of OFDM radar communication system by using cyclic shift characteristics of P4 code is devised.The performace of the integrated signal is assessed.Simulation results show that the integrated signal can achieve estimations of target ranges and velocities fulfilling the basic radar functions.In the meantime,the good communication capability is guaranteed.(3)We discuss the design of radar communication integrated signal for MIMO radar.First,we focus on three kinds of orthogonal waveforms for MIMO radar.The first one is OFDM-LFM waveform whose,the generation principle and the auto-correlation and cross-correlation are analyzed.The second one is the OFDM phase-coded waveform.We use the genetic algorithm and particle swarm optimization algorithm to optimize three sets of orthogonal signal waveforms.The auto-correlation and cross-correlation performance of the waveforms are evaluated,showing the feasibility of these two design methods.The third one is I-OFDM waveform,where we analyze its generation principle,the ambiguity function and the auto-correlation and cross-correlation.Finally,we simulate and analyze the integration scheme of signal modulation and demodulation the waveform shift-for three orthogonal waveforms.The simulation results show that the integrated signals share good communication performance as well as radar detection performance.
