Taking articles on Nanjing Massacre published on Ifeng as report target,this thesis analyses the Nanjing Massacre reports published on Ifeng by summarizing the features of the article and comments from the perspective of topic and time period.The author takes 5223 articles published from 2006 to 2016 as objects of study.From the level of article,the author classifies Nanjing Massacre reports on Ifeng according to their topic,and sums up the number of reports by topic and published year.Then the author makes a chart of Nanjing Massacre reports by published time to show its variation trend.From the level of comment,the author finds the features of Nanjing Massacre reports with different topics by observing comment amount,proportion and development direction.Nanjing Massacre reports on Ifeng demonstrate various features,such as sociality,objectivity and urgency.At the same time,these reports build up the collective memory on Nanjing Massacre for Ifeng,including ritualized narrative,variation of commemorate context,etc.By exploring the comments,the author summarizes the effect of collective memory for audience and draws a conclusion that the collective memory on Nanjing Massacre won't fade.During the research,the author also finds some limitations of the collective memory built by Ifeng new media,such as contents related to our Chinese nation consciousness,the breakage and conflict of collective memory,the structure of collective memory,etc.Through the research on Nanjing Massacre reports published on Ifeng,we can see that the development of Nanjing Massacre reports is always closely connected with the overall development of the society.The establishment of the memorial day and the development of the social new media both have an important influence on the effects of Nanjing Massacre reports and the collective memory.This thesis also shows Ifeng's progress and development in the field of media operation and realization of historic responsibility and requirement of the age.
