Design And Implementation Of Laboratory Management System For Independent College

As China gradually decentralized its policy on higher education,the past decade has witnessed the booming development of non-governmental higher education,with hundreds of independent colleges springing up like mushrooms.Along with the gradual increase of enrollment,teaching administration,the management of laboratory in particular is enormously challenged.Either Human-based or half-human-based management mode in a traditional form is too inefficient to be applicable in present state,proving to be a stumbling block to the scientific development of teaching in the independent colleges.Aiming at the pressing needs of laboratory administration in independent colleges,this paper designs and develops a laboratory management system specifically applicable to independent colleges based upon software engineering thought in a bid to improve efficiency.The laboratory management system adopts an object-oriented designing method,integrating computer network,the three layers structure of client-middleware-server,and MVC3 layer architecture in the Windows2003 system.With MySQL as a background,database,the system is designed and developed based on Java and Jsp.The system provides the main functions of experiment management,personnel management,laboratory equipment management,teaching management,member management,personal management and so on.The modular designing method employed in the process of design and development is featured with good scalability and openness;while the MySQL database system achieves better data sharing,data commonality and data interaction.The system operation test shows that the system is simple in operation,stable in operation,safe and reliable,highly efficient to meet the needs of users.
