With people’s health consciousness strengthening,the water purifier is more and more widely used in social life and the demand of the water purifiers is gradually increasing.Most of small and medium-sized water purifier production enterprises are still using the traditional manual assembly method to assemble water purifiers.This assembly method has low production efficiency,high labor intensity,and the product quality and stability are difficult to guarantee.To solve the above problems,an automatic assembly line of the water purifier filter is designed to improve the production efficiency and product quality.According to the assembly process and the technology requirements of the water purifier production enterprise,this research proposed the overall scheme design of the assembly line for the filter cartridge,including the mechanism design and the control system design.Among them,the mechanism design includes two parts,the filter rod assembly design and the outer sleeve assembly design.In the filter rod assembly the filter rod is glued and fed automation,the upper cover and the lower cover are fitted to the filter,the sealing ring is fitted to the lower cover,and the weighing and batching systems are designed for the six kinds of filter materials.The outer sleeve assembly process includes fitting the sealing ring to the outer sleeve,fitting the filter to the outer sleeve and unloading the filter.The key mechanical structures are the mechanism of sealing ring fitting and the mechanism of the manipulator turning.Because there are many steps in the assembly of the water purifier filter,so the multi-station assembly and linear transmission structure are chosen for the assembly line.The conveyor belt and the transfer plate are used in the assembly line to achieve the transmission of the filter elements among different stations.The assembly line control system completes the whole control of the assembly operations including the feeding device and feeding process.The stepper motor,the pneumatic components,the sensors,the controller and the touch screen are chosen and the assembly line beat is estimated in the control system.In control system,PLC is used as the core controller and the pneumatic elements are used as the executive components.During the assembly process,the type of the filter rod,the type and amount of the material are set by the interface,the assembly state information of each station is detected by the sensors and sent to PLC,then the pneumatic components implement the corresponding action and realize the collaborative work of each station in the assembly line by PLC control.In this paper,the Taguchi Masa experiment method is used to study the main factors which influence the accuracy of the weighing and batching system.The factors consist of the feed inlet size,the height of the Work Chute and the power voltage of the electromagnetic vibration feeder.The weighing experiment is carried out under the situations with different sizes and different specific gravity of the materials.The experimental data is analyzed,the weighing factors contribution rates of the weighing factors are calculated and the mechanical structure parameters of feeding mechanism are optimized through signal to noise ratio of the Taguchi method which is targeting being best.The reference to adjust the weighing controller parameter is provided by the analyzing the differences of the flow value and the gap value under different voltages and different materials.Finally,the next tasks and new objectives of this project will be discussed.
