Virtual reality technology establishes a realistic three-dimensional world imitating the experience of tactile,olfactory and other sensor.It can provides the participants true immersive experience.With the development of computer technology,computer graphics and sensor,virtual reality technology has been widely used in military,industrial,medical,culture and other applications.Distributed virtual reality technology has combined distributed technology with virtual reality technology.With the distributed virtual technology,the network users in different locations connect with each other by the high-speed network,realizing information sharing,collaborative work and real-time interaction.Based on distributed technology and Unity system platform,we study a distributed interactive virtual reality simulation system in this paper.This system supports multi-people work together in real time.The problem of authenticity and fluency is prevalent in distributed virtual reality system.In order to solve this problem,we study the key technologies of human-computer interaction and the load balance mechanism in the system,and put forward the optimized solutions.Firstly,this paper studies the key technology of human-computer interaction in the system.After analyzing the structure and the motion law of virtual hand,we simplify it into a multi-level tree structure according to its characteristics.In order to realize the attitude algorithm of virtual hand,we improve the traditional extended kalman filter and proposed two-stage extended kalman filter.It can effectively reduce the computational complexity and realize the synchronization between real hand and virtual hand model.On this basis,we make a deep research in the processing of virtual hand penetration and grab operation.Aiming at the load imbalance during the running of the system,this paper designs the load balancing mechanism of virtual reality system.Based on the distributed technology and combined with the application requirements of the system,a system framework is proposed in which the central server and multiple node servers work together.Node server is responsible for the mobilization of local tasks,the periodic collection of load information sent to the central server.According to the load of the system,the central server sets up the appropriate load balancing strategy to realize the balance of the system.Finally,this paper designs and builds a distributed virtual reality interactive simulation platform,and carries on the experimental verification to the simulation platform.Experimental results show that the platform has good stability and reliability,can realize the free roaming in the scene,the virtual characters of the synchronous interaction and multi-user concurrent access and other functions.
