Design And Implementation Of The Inventory Management Module In ERP System Of Large Retail Enterprise

With the development of economic globalization,foreign retail giants entering China's retail market brings the competitive pressure and challenge to the domestic retail industry.For retail businesses,the inventory not only influences enterprise sales level but also determines the profitability as well as whether the cash flow is smooth or not,so most companies are continuing to study the inventory management and adhere to the implementation of inventory management in order to improve sales.This thesis designs and implements the basic inventory management system,which can mainly be put into two aspects,inventory management module and system management module.Inventory management module mainly includes stock management,returns management,inventory management,allocation management and other functions.Enterprises with the help of information technology can accuratly control and manage the inventory as well as understanding the situation of fund and its occupation situtation.In that way,they can also ensure a reasonable inventory.The main functions of the system management include staff login,post permissions settings,commodity file maintenance and other functions,which makes employees work effectively and collaboratively within their jurisdiction.This inventory management system designs the functions of inventory analysis,mainly including the analysis of inventory turnover,the analysis of classes inventory,and the safety stocks query etc.,to make procurement plans,and to ensure the sales of enterprise on the basis of these analysis functions.Powerbuilder language is used in this thesis.Powerbuilder is an efficient tool for the integration of database development.The main characteristic of SQL Server used in database is easy to manage and develop.This thesis is basic on the idea of software engineering and uses object-oriented programming method and the modular design and development,which has good scalability.The whole system adopts mature C/S architecture design.
