The Research Of Retail Inventory Management And Decision-making System

Along with the rapid development of the retail sector, the Logistics management has become more complex. So huge is the amount of business data that the original artificial way of management becomes overburdened. Inventory management is an important part of the retail industry, and the current inventory management model is divided into the ancient manual bookkeeping and slightly modern network system management, but as to the popular softwares on it, the functions of these softwares cannot meet the entire demand for inventory management and decision management. For this reason, this paper selects "The Research Of Retail Inventory Management and Decision-making System" as the title. Relying on the concept of modern network computing and logistics management, the system aimed to realize automation of retail inventory management and decision making and enhance the retail level of information management for corporation.This paper started from the current situation of the domestic retail industry, made analysis on the sales and inventory, and at last designed the Inventory management and decision-making system. Firstly, this system has carried on the demand analysis, as well as the analysis of applications of inventory decision model introduced the decision-making process, and described the system of business process and data process; Then, based on the demand analysis it carried on overall system design, including the system’s overall structure and function module design; Moreover, it completed the database design, interface desig.At last, through the professional software, it developed main windows of the system, and preliminary realized functions of the system by software programming.The system is designed based on softwares of Visual Studio2008, which used C-sharp language. The advantages of the structure C-sharp is that the system is powerful, simple structure, better performance extended,.It can be compatible with SQL Server2005,which means it’s enough for the software to handle the daily data of the general retail industry. The disadvatages of this article are that we have finished part of system development, leaving some fuctions of the system about inventory decision.What’s more,although it takes into account the security of the system, but the degree of safety is not high enough.These are yet to be studied in my fulture study and work.
