With the high-speed development of radar technology in recent years,the radar signal simulation technology is also emerging in endlessly.In the functions of the radar signal simulator,the most important part is the simulation of radar bearing signal.But at present,we have not yet heard the universal radar bearing signal simulation technology emerge,that only used for simulating any radar bearing signal.Aiming at this problem,this paper presents a kind of universal radar bearing signal simulation method,and apply it in radar bearing signal simulation unit.Radar bearing incremental signal simulation is the most important step in radar bearing signal simulation.Radar bearing incremental signals includes two kinds.One is the low precision bearing incremental signal that is produced by one circle of the antenna.The other is the high precision bearing incremental signal processed by frequency multiplication technique in the radar display unit.In order to avoid the hardware implementation difficult caused by too much times frequency multiplication,this article convert the implementation method to frequency division between two radar bearing incremental signals.Namely,producing high precision bearing incremental signal at first,then producing low precision bearing incremental signal by frequency division.But the traditional integer frequency division and decimal frequency division cannot meet the requirement of accuracy in the conversion of two bearing incremental signals.In order to solve this problem,this paper proposes a combined frequency division algorithm,not only realize the conversion between high and low precision bearing incremental signals,and control the error in the range of accuracy.By adjusting the various parameter values of combined frequency division algorithm,any number of low precision bearing incremental pulse can be implemented,so as to realize the simulation of the universal radar bearing signal.In the implementation of the universal radar bearing signal simulation unit,this paper presents an integrated design of MCU and FPGA.According to the selected radar model,MCU determine the radar bearing signal control strategies,create the corresponding frequency division combination.At the same time,FPGA has a clock management module and a strong parallel processing ability,it can execute the frequency division combination control instruction,produce a specific type of low precision bearing incremental signal.Not only that,in order to make the design result is easy to observe and verif,the oscilloscope part and digital tube display part are also added in the design.The biggest advantage of universal radar bearing signal simulation method proposed in this paper is that it can implement the conversion between high and low precision bearing incremental signals in a certain precision scope.Based on this method,the universal radar bearing signal simulation unit can be realized,which not only can be used as a part of radar signal simulator,used for the debugging of radar terminal equipment,also can serve as a kind of radar bearing signal generator,used in the laboratories of scientific research and teaching,has a huge application value.
