The MHF (Medium-high Frequency) RFID technology, an important information technology, has a great prospect in the 21st century. Its market prospect is more and more extensive. So, the greater system is required by users. Nowadays, people mainly focus on promoting its identification distance, enhancing its magnetic field intensity of the operation region and analyzing its manifestation in different work environment (such as the metal environment). However, these researches are associated with antennas'quality of designing which directly affects the transmission performance of the MHF RFID system. So the research on MHF RFID reader antennas is meaningful. This article mainly focuses on the MHF RFID reader antenna (its classical frequency is 13.56MHz). In order to enhance the local magnetic field intensity of antenna coils, this article proposes a method of adding a shedding magnetic metal core in the coil plane; In order to promote the recognition distance of antennas and enhance its magnetic field intensity of the operation region, this article proposes a kind of double-layer antennas which have two drive ports. First of all, We deduce the theory of the skin effect of intermediate frequency magnetic field, then the theory can be applied to the first method, next we analyze the various parameters which should be considered when put forward the second method; Then, we obtain data through simulations by 3D electromagnetic simulation software Ansoft HFSS and the actual test. Results show the validity of theories proposed and the feasibility of the two methods; Finally, we change the parameters of two methods to find out the optimal design scheme of shedding magnetic metal core and double-layer antennas.
