China is a big traditional country of aquaculture, with fishery total output accounting for more than one third of the world. However, due to the traditional fishery production of small-scale family-based production, farmers still sticks to practical experience as a production guide, resulting in low productivity. Now,the emergence and popularity of the Internet of Things technology enables the transformation of traditional aquaculture, particularly in promoting scientific farming methods. This paper describes the design and implementation of a aquaculture system based on the technology of Internet of Things.Low-level terminal devices transmit device state information to the system via the Internet of Things;Producers login to the system via the Internet to view real-time status of the fish ponds. The producers can also control device states according to the pond's situation, then the system sends commands to the terminal devices. The systems also provides functions such as feeding decision, remote disease diagnosis, quality trace etc.,significantly improving aquaculture production efficiency and providing convenience for producers. |
