In the era of rapid development of information technology,all industries vigorously promote their own information construction,in order to realize the strategic objectives of modernization,economic development,and enhancement of the core competitiveness.Similarly,the agricultural informationization is not only the main impediment to the upgrade and transformation of the traditional agricultural into the modern agriculture,but also the inevitable trend and important foundation of modern agricultural development.Through the comprehensive and effective integration of modern information technology and agricultural science and technology,agricultural informationization makes the dissemination,exchange,share and service of the agricultural information more extensive,more convenient and quick,so as to effectively promote the development of the agricultural economy.Traditional manner and means of agricultural information acquisition have always been a bottleneck restricting the production and development of agriculture due to their singleness,limited range,low efficiency,and the inadequate accuracy.However,Modern agricultural information service platform can significantly upgrade the traditional agriculture through the informationization and modernization of the agricultural information service infrastructure."Construction of the Web-based Information Service Platform for Crops" is a branch of the project of "visual agricultural products supply and demand information service platform",which is an Agricultural Scientific and Technological Project of Shanxi Province in 2012.The research aims to construct a public and comprehensive information service platform based on the database technology as the core,Web service technology as the support,and to provide convenient and efficient information services for all organizations and individuals in farming,production,transaction,management and the related researches.The platform includes the following parts:agricultural information,plants,seeds,cultivation technology,Insect Pest prevention and Control,the pesticide and fertilizer,consulting,user management and so on.Users can browse various kinds of agricultural information,such as related policies and regulations,learn knowledge and technologies about planting,fertilizer,and pest control etc.,leave their own views and messages,and consult experts and colleagues online.The system will automatically recommend hot information according to estimation of the user's degree of interest,as well as retrieve them according to keywords.It also facilitates the distribution and maintenance of the agricultural information,and the management and authorization of the system operators.The main work are as follows:(1)The research objectives,tasks,software requirements and the development methods of system are delivered.(2)The analysis and design models of the service platform with the UML model language,and the fundamental principles of the key algorithms are represented.(3)The Platform is designed and constructed in an open,multi-layered,flexible and extensible architecture,and implemented with the pure object-oriented method.(4)The system has been programmed in Java language on Apache Tomcat Web server v6.0,MySQL database server v5.0 with the Struts 2.0,Spring 4.0,and hibernate 3.0 SSH framework.
