In recent years, as the social media rapidly spread and expand in the global world, users use it as a playground for social activities and entertainment: they spend more and more time on it for releasing status, sharing photos and videos, communi-cating and interacting with friends and so on. Through this virtual platform, people are available to contact with people from all continents and really make the "Horizon Zorpia" as possible. However, the users are unwittingly act as roles of free "Digital Labor" for the world factory while they are addicted to social media: Like the text in-formation generated in the process of using social media, like the cookies produced while browsing the web, like the personal information generated when landing with a cell phone, like the daily privacy exposed in the process of using Google glass, Apple watch and so on. This information can be recorded and collected by business in the form of data an d secondly sole with commercial value for converting into large data.The study cuts from the "Digital Labor “phenomenon in the social media, based on the continuity of local history and the interaction of globalization, Using empirical research and speculative research combined with the research methods, detailed combing the concept, development process and characteristics of social media, the survey of "Digital Labor" theory at home and abroad, demonstrating the relationship between social media addiction and "Digital Labor", analyzing the ways in which so-cial media exploits "Digital Labor" and the commonness and difference between"Digital Labor" in social media and traditional labor in Marxist, listing the domestic and foreign awaking "Digital Labor" of the resistance movement cases, exposing the generated field of "Digital Labor" phenomenon, analyzing the power and media capi-tal structured within and urgently questioned how this material convert into cultural production behind the hidden material power, trying to find new media technology and labor research theory breakthrough, enriching the local research theory and bring-ing some practical reference for the contemporary Chinese communication academia at the same time.
