Millimeter-wave radar has been widely used in various fields because it has many advantages.Radar has been applied in the military fields at the earliest. With the development of electronic technology, the cost of radar has been greatly reduced, and radar has also been widely used in civilian areas, such as security-protection radar and automotive anti-collision radar.Security-protection radar can reduce the occurrence of security incidents.Automotive anti-collision radar can reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents,on account of many traffic accidents happening with the reason that drivers did not find the danger in time.Automotive anti-collision radar can protect people's lives and property. The project has designed a Ka-band millimeter-wave radar transceiver link. This radar has a transmitter link and two receiver links.Transmitter link and receiver links use separate antennas to increase the isolation of radar transmitter and receiver links. The use of dual receiver link structure can increase the measuring angle function, and can reduce the emergence of false alarm phenomenon, increase the reliability of the radar. The radar signal required by the radar transmitter and the receiver link is provided by the same frequency source. The receive link uses a zero intermediate frequency scheme with a higher acceptance sensitivity. The main works of this project are as follows:1.Formulating the RF front-end system solutions.2.Selecting the appropriate RF chips to complete the circuit design.3.Designing the passive components needed in the project, such as: power divider, microstrip bending structure and filter.4.Assembling the RF front-end circuit board, testing the performance of the circuit board, and then testing the actual performance of the radar. The project designed a Ka-band linear frequency modulated continuous wave radar. The overall size of the radar is 11 cm × 11 cm × 8.7cm,including metal enclosure. The radar can measure speed, distance and angle, and the maximum working distance of the radar is 100 m.
