The current information society has the increasingly higher demands for information display.The tiled display can solve requirements for information display,mainly including LCD splicing,PDP splicing,LED splicing LCD projection splicing and DLP splicing,etc.Nowadays,lots of companies proposed PLED splicing screen.OLED has the comprehensive advantages of cathode-ray tube(CRT)and LCD.It is an all-solid-state device.It has some advantages of thinness,lightness,high brightness,wide temperature range,fast response speed,broad angle of view,high contrast,and low driving voltage and consumption.OLED is called as the 3rd display,21 st century of panel display,and upgrading product of LCD.Splicing display is mainly concentrated on middle-size and large-size screen display.People seldom report the small-size display splicing.In addition,to study OLED splicing display system has the extensive engineering application prospect.Based on the scientific research needs,the paper explored and studied splicing design of the small-size OLED.Based on ARM7 embedded system chip LPC2138,the author designed the OLED splicing display system and applied four 2.8” full-color OLED modules to splice.Based on two pieces of ARM7-based LPC2138,the system provides sequential control signals and image data signals to two OLED drive controllers S6E63D6,so as to realize full-color display of four OLED screens.The system hardware applies modular design,including mother board circuit and daughter board circuit of OLED splicing screen.If the OLED modules are damaged,the splicing system can work normally as long as the daughter board circuit is replaced.The mother board circuit is the core circuit of the system,including power,ARM crystal oscillator,JTAG,reset circuit,and peripheral circuit.The mother board circuit is centered on two pieces of LPC2138.Every LPC2138 drives two OLED screens and provides four double-rowing sockets to four OLED screens to the daughter board.The daughter board circuit includes the splicing interface circuit and peripheral circuit of four display screens,which introduce four S6E63D6 interface signals to four double-rowing sockets and realize electric connection on four corresponding double-rowing sockets on the mother board.Based on Keil ? Vision platform,the system software applies C language programming.The software involves in writing data,writing command,IC initialization,? calibration,single-color display and full-color display.The system can realize full-color splicing display of four 2.8“ OLED screen.The resolution ratio is 480(RGB)x 640,color 65 K,luminance 200cd/m2.The system display interface applies MCU interface-indirect control mode,and 8080 parallel 8-digital bus timing.
