Since the status of OLED technology improves in the display field, it is veryimportant to design an appropriate test system of the OLED module. Nevertheless, itmay cause unnecessary loss to bound the OLED screen and the driver IC if it isunknown whether the OLED screen is qualified or not in the actual operation. For thisreason, it is very necessary to design a power measuring machine for testing the OLEDscreen. In this thesis, the OLED module is made as a power measuring machine whichis used to test whether there is a problem with the OLED screen or not. The problemmay be the luminance, the grayscale and if there is any faulty point. With the measuringmachine, loss will be avoided before the screen bound to the driver IC.This paper mainly introduces the design of passive OLED module test systembased on ARM, including the design of hardware system and driving programs. Thedesign of hardware system consists of the design of the power circuit and the OLEDdriver circuit. The design of driving programs primarily includes subprograms ofcommand/data write, initialization and display of the basic programs. As a result of thedesign, a measuring machine for the OLED screen comes out.In this paper, the measuring machine includes the data transmission module,command transmission module, the initialization module of SSD1355and the displaymodule of self-colored picture. At one time, the single chip of51series is used as thecore of OLED module in the middle or small size. However, in a high required systemon the speed and amount of the data transmission, the single chip will be powerless. SoLPC2138of ARM7series is used as the restraining core of the OLED module in thepaper. And SSD1355is selected to be the driver IC. It is produced by theSolomon-Systech of HongKong in2006. It is an OLED colored driver IC with its owncontroller, and can support the display of dot matrix at128RGBĂ—160.There are five parts in this paper. The first chapter introduces the content of thispaper. The second chapter mainly describes the existing active and passive drivingOLED technology. In the third chapter, the driver chip-LPC2138and the driver IC-SSD1355are introduced, and the designing process of the hardware design and themeasuring machine. The chapter four is the design of the driver programs and thedebugging. The conclusion of this paper is in the chapter five.The task of this thesis is to design and make the circuit of the OLED module andthe measuring machine which is based on ARM. The system will generate a series ofdriver signals after the operation of the core-LPC2138and driver IC-SSD1355. With thesignals, the OLED screen will be turn on and display. The design will make contributionto the scientific research. It has designed the circuit for the full-colored OLED moduleand made a measuring machine.
