At present in the application field of high voltage and high current application,IGBT has reigns supreme.The main reason is that the IGBT have the advantages of GTR and MOSFET,such as fast switching speed,high breakdown voltage and good thermal performance,etc.The gate driver circuit for IGBT has become one of the most important products in the field of power electronics.This paper based on UMC 's 0.6?m 15 V BCD process designs of a gate driver circuit.The driver circuit consists of a three-phase bridge type inverter circuit for IGBT and four driver modules with protection control function.Driver module consists of three HVIC modules,a LVIC module,six IGBT modules and six FRD modules.So the circuit has two working conditions like high voltage and low voltage.High voltage module consists of MOS tube and low voltage module consists of BJT tube.At first the paper introduces the driving circuit's research significance and the background.And then writer introduces the systematic design of circuit,respectively from the bridge circuit,security isolation technology and working principle of the IGBT device.In the end writer establishes the three-phase bridge drive circuit.Then the over temperature protect circuit,and the under-voltage protection circuit,overcurrent protection circuit,the fault control circuit,level shift circuit and drive circuit carries on the detailed analysis,design,and simulation.After finish this work,writer also use simulation software to simulate the whole circuit so that ensure its perfect function and index.Through this graduation design,the author use the software of HSPICE to verify the feasibility of the drive circuit for IGBT.In the near future,gate drive circuit's function must be more and more perfect.
