At the same time , with the development of monitoring, people need to watch data sended over the data equipment and a player which can decode, play multi-channel video and provide some intelligent function when playing video.This paper studies the realization of video on transmission, decoding and playing multi-channel video simultaneously at the playback end and providing the function that face detection and recognition when play the video. Users can easily detect faces in video screen whether in the face library or we are looking for. The primary work of the paper is as follows:1) Video transmission: One sender can transmit the video stream to a plurality of receivers simultaneously, and a receiving terminal can receive a plurality of video streams transmitted at the same time. The sender uses the RTP(Real - time Transport Protocol) to encapsulate the video stream into RTP packets in the application layer, and then uses the UDP(User Datagram Protocol) to transmit the streaming media data to the members of the multicast group through the transport layer. The receiver receives a plurality of video streams transmitted by the sending end by adding different multicast groups.2) Playing decoded video: Programing to realize the function that receiver can receive multi-channel video at the same time, through different threads playing decoded video simultaneously, and the receiver can display the video stream which is sent by multiple transmitter, Another It can be saved as MP4 format files through the RTP protocol for transmission over the H.264 stream. It can be fast forward and fast rewind when playing local video files or playing audio and video at the same time.3) Face detection and face recognition: When displaying the video through windows application, system uses a certain frequency of the video screen to detect the face and judge whether the faces in the face database.
