The paper which bases on many disadvantages of traditional analog communication technology , and combins the development of digital audio broadcast technology and its development bottleneck, introduces in detail the development situation at home and abroad of the digital orthogonal frequency modulation technology that is subject to the present situation of the high cost of launch system, and discusses the development of high performance index, frequency quickens, small volume, low cost of digital orthogonal frequency modulation launch system is nessaryPaper thoroughly studies the digital audio broadcasting launch system and working principle of receiving terminal combining the technology features of digital quadrature up-conversion, developes the digital audio broadcast launch system based on the AD9957 chip that apply with digital orthogonal frequency modulation technology . This paper firstly introduces the key technology of digital audio broadcast launch system and working mechanism of transmitting and receiving terminal; Then focuses on the working principle and some performance indexes of the MPD - 1508 transmitter combining the characteristics of the digital audio technology, analysis the feasibility of developing digital orthogonal frequency modulation system based on FPGA to simplify the digital audio transmitter system; After Established the plan based on the FPGA development platform, paper focuses on the various hardware modular circuit implementation, and instructs each part of the circuit principle diagram and PCB design details in detail; For the part based on the FPGA software ,the paper describes about the design and the process of software design , instruct the simulation of the software, and gives the problems encountered in the process of experiment and debugging and its solution ;The last gives the mode of system control word configuration , the structure of the control byte instructions, and verifys the output waveform of the system according to the wave of the theory.The paper is based on the FPGA , uses the AD9957 that is ADI's high performance , orthogonal frequency conversion chips, make the the launch system of digital audio broadcast more convenient and cheap, to promote the expansion of the digital audio broadcast technology and the application of digital orthogonal frequency modulation technology, can also greatly deduce the digital orthogonal technology is applied to various communication systems, and improves the overall performance of communication system and system cost.
