In the field of military equipment, the microwave power module (MPM) occupies an important position, which it learn the advantages of vacuum electronic technology and solid-state electronic technology of high power and high efficiency, at the same time it make up for the shortcomings of two technologies, which is good to meet the modern electronic equipment demand. The microwave power module consists of three sub-modules: a power-driven module, a miniaturized wave tube and a power supply. And a microwave gain equalizer is the most important part of the power drive module. The main function of the microwave gain equalizer is to balance the uneven power gain curve of the miniaturized traveling wave tube.Based on the traditional ladder impedance resonant structure of the microstrip gain equalizer, this paper combined with the typical slow wave structure - defect structure, to design a novel microstrip equalizer based on the C ring defect structure; The main feature is the etching of the C ring with a notch on the ground plane of the microstrip line, by changing the grounding surface of the various parameters, the formation of equalizer trap characteristics. The microwave equalizer based on this technology has greatly reduced the size of the microwave equalizer, which solves the problem of miniaturization of equalizer. At the same time, this paper designs a 6 ?18GHz microwave drive module (SSA)based on the actual project requirements, and innovates the cavity design of the solid-state amplification module and the microwave gain equalizer, and the module takes into account the heat dissipation and complexity Functional requirements, and ultimately, processing and assembly of the physical test display module design is very good to meet the project requirements.
