In recent years,the inversion of public opinion has been occurring with startling frequency in China,which aroused a lot of attentions from the academic community,the news industry and the publics.Social media such as the Wechat and Weibo,as the most used information platforms in China,were closely related to the happening and developing of the inversion;therefore,the author chose the "2W"(Wechat and Weibo)as the major research scope.By analyzing some real cases and by means of varies theories of Communication,Sociology and Social Psychology,this essay studied on the characteristics,formation,impact and solution of the public opinion inversion phenomenon.The first chapter,as the exordium,introduced the background,significance,research method and innovation of this study and presented 18 real stories as study cases.The second chapter defined the concept of "2W" communication and the inversion of public opinion phenomenon,as well as reviewed and summarized the relative research on "2W" communication,the inverted news and the inversion of public opinion.The author based on the previous research and cases,summarized the characteristics of inversion of public opinion on Weibo and Wechat.Based on these three chapters,the author analyzed the formation mechanism of the inversion from the perspectives of social background,journalism,academic,users behavior and communication technology in the fourth chapter.The fifth chapter examined the negative impact of the public opinion inversion on journalistic operation,the development of news industry,the social feelings and public behavior.The author then gave certain suggestions to the government and regulators,to the media,to the media users,as well as to the academic community on the prevention and remediation of public opinion inversion on Wechat and Weibo.With rapid development of communication technology and a more complex media environment,the governments are facing heavier tasks of monitoring and guiding the public opinion.Learning the communication mechanisms of public opinion inversion and media ecology on"2W"(Wechat and Weibo)will help with the relative public opinion work and will improve the social public affairs and the social moral construction.
