Seismic Inversion In Reservoir Prediction

Seismic inversion technology changes seismic data into lithology data;itintegrates the resolution of the wells in the vertical and the continuity of theseismic in the horizon. Lithology data can contrast with wells directly, and can beinterpreted on the lithology layer.This paper analyze the development of inversion technology, and has thefurther study on Recursive Inversion, Model Inversion, Geostatistics Inversion,discusses some problems on these inversion technology, and compares theadvantages and disadvantages of these inversion.These inversion technologies are applied to survey of Xinbei Upwarp inSongliao Basin. Different values of a same parameter are taken to analyze andcompare the result and the affect of a same inversion technology. I analyzeadvantages and disadvantages of this inversion technology and reach someconclusions, and draw a conclusion of how to select the value of some keyparameters.According to the analysis and compare, it shows that result of RecursiveInversion has low resolution, and this technology requires few wells, so it isapplied at the initial stage of exploration. Model Inversion technology is based onthe geology model, which is interposed by wells, and it is reliable in where therehas many wells and the geology is mean. Model Inversion technology is appliedat the middle and final stages of development. The results of GeostatisticsInversion technology are more fit the geology conditions, because they combinethe parameters of the structure and randomicity of the reservoir in the spatial.Geostatistic Inversion technology is applied at middle and final stage ofdevelopment. Many results with equal probability are produced by GeostatisticsInversion technology, so we must analyze the results and select the best result.
