Research On The Literature Quarterly

The "Literary Quarterly",as one of the most influential literary journals in the middle of the 30s,provided a sound platform for a large number of well-known writers and many young authors,greatly enlivened the new literary creation in the 30s.The publication was devoted to the construction of new literature,and published many classical works in the history of modern literature.At the time of the complex political crisis in North China and facing the economic pressure,"Literature Quarterly" difficultly maintained for two years,totally published 2 volumes 8 issues.Every issue had more than 300 pages,showing a rich variety of literary world.This paper researched the publication mainly from the following five chapters.The first chapter,analyzed the development and all-embracing of this publications in the overall vision of the 30s' publishing environment.The publication got a great success,so the author focused on the analysis of the magazine attitude and management methods to study the journal's subsistence and development.The second chapter,focused on the analysis of the influence on the journal's editors,and briefly explained the publication's final fate.The editor is the organizer and the person who in charge of the publication.The editors' power and changing influenced the real state of the publication.In this chapter,the author discussed the editors and the publication process of Thunderstorm,analyzed the political,personnel,economic pressure on the impact of the publication.The third chapter,focused on the analysis of the novel achievements,The novel was the emphasis of the publication.This chapter analyzed the various subjects and the theme of creation.The author researched the left-wing tendency and rebellious consciousness,the narrative of human nature and enlightment consciousness.The novel inherited and developed the May 4th literary spirit.This chapter also analyzed the era connotation of the female images.The fourth chapter,focused on the analysis of the prose and poetry achievement.The prose and poetry in the publication used the experience of the western theory and the classical tradition.The publication reflected the diversified construction of verse and prose.In the comparison of the characteristics of poetry,prose and the features of the novel,the orientation and political color of the publication was further clarified.The end,summarized the significance of literary history.This part introduced the special contribution of the journal from three aspects:the achievements of the publications,the clustering force and the editing strategies.
