Tactical Internet has been widely applied to modern warfare.Its performance affects the outcome of the war.In-depth study on key technologies of the Tactical Internet is of great significance for enhancing the military strength of China.At present,our army is actively building a new generation of Tactical Internet.To build a tactical information network that applies to our modern military battlefield,we need to make an intensive study of new network technology and put forward a feasible schema according to the actual situation of our army.Based on the WNW waveform of US army,we make a deep research on the routing technology in the battlefield mobile ad hoc network.This dissertation focuses on OLSR routing protocol.And we improve the OLSR protocol based on WNW waveform protocol stack and application scenarios to make it apply to Tactical Internet more efficiently.The main contributes are as follows:(1)Routing technologies of mobile ad hoc network are introduced based on the research status of mobile ad hoc network routing protocol and OLSR routing protocol.We mainly focus on the characteristics,types,design conditions and design requirements of mobile ad hoc network routing protocol.(2)The principle of OLSR routing protocol and the common methods of wireless network cross-layer design are introduced.In addition,OLSR protocol is modified from three aspects based on the characteristic of WNW waveform and OLSR protocol.Firstly,in order to reduce the routing overhead,the packet and message format is simplified.Secondly,MPR selection algorithm is improved based on the stability of node.The new algorithm takes the density of network and the mobility of node into consideration,which improves the stability of routing.Thirdly,a cross-layer scheme based on WNW waveform protocol stack is proposed to reduce the overhead and improve the overall performance of the network.(3)We implement the improved OLSR protocol on OPNET.And the improved OLSR protocol is compared with standard OLSR protocol in different scenarios.Experiment results show that the improved protocol is more efficient than the standard one.Moreover,the performance of the protocol proposed in this dissertation is better than standard OLSR,especially in mobile environments.This research on the routing protocol in WNW waveform network contributes to the development of Tactical Internet of our country.It is of great reference significance for the development of the new generation of tactical communication network.
