With the quick update of the microelectronic technique,there is an obvious development on processing speed and application field of the electromagnetic wave with digital technique.Digital has become the core of information.Presently,as radars suffering more and more complex electromagnetic environment,it needs a higher level for radar system.Used as the important part of radar,receivers should has several excellent performances,including high dynamic range,integration degree,resolving power,digital degree and anti-jamming ability etc.The avalanche of digital technique and new type devices improves the whole performance of receivers mostly,which makes radar system more opening,software,and as a result,radar system is becoming a synthesis assignment system gradually.This paper researches on the radar receivers of X wave band based on the control of FPGA software.The traditional radar receivers' control circuits usually adopt schism components.It brings simple control ability and big volume which deviates the design thoughts of miniaturization and flexibility.High integrate,complex and programmable chips is adopted as the core of control device and advanced design method is used at the same time in this paper.One side,it meets blocking and miniaturization design.On the other hand,it possesses performance of general,high precision and flexibility in view of software.First,this paper introduces research background,significance and phylogeny of radar receivers.Secondly,its function and compose are discussed,the designing index parameters of this radar receiver are analyzed strictly and the theory how it works is given.Significantly,theory analysis and particular design of several key techniques including STC technique of X wave band digitally controlled with high precision,AGC technique controlled quickly with digital method and completely on-line testing mode design are emphasized in paper.Based on designing platform Quartus and aimed at its key techniques,software programming thoughts and design languages of each module are analyzed and the function emulation and the main points of designing PCB are given.Then using FPGA as the core device,engineering realization and measurement is done to the radar receiver.All the indexes satisfy the system.On account of the need of small volume and light weight,all kinds of ways are adopted on this receiver order to insure the characters.Through concussion,vibration and temperature experiment,performance has been validated sufficiently.Finally,proved by using in the army,this receiver has wide appliance foreground relying on its reliable quality and predominant performance.
