Entering twenty-fist century, the higLspeed ADC will be required with the rapid development of the whole globe digital information. Now method of testing the ADC's static specification is mature. But the high-speed ADC's dynamic characteristic is more complex than ADC's static; the technology for testing ADC's dynamic performance is being reaserched by resercher at home and abroad. The emphasis of this dissertation is based on giving the higLspeed ADC's dynamic specifications and researching the theory of testing the higLspeed ADC dynamic characteristic. The analysis and testing of dynamic characteristic are necessary to the application of higLspeed ADC. Main contribution of this dissertation can be concluded as follow: Based on the analysis of effective factor about the highspeed ADC's dynamic characteristic, the tested specifications are defined clearly in this dissertation, the dynamic measurement system based on Digital signal processing (DSP) has been found. Under the "coherent testing" the theroy of testing higLspeed ADC's FPBW has been studied, the method of testing this specification has been present. The method is applied to the test of FPBW . After analysis and discussion of this testing result, the dynamic characteristic has been obtained. Under the "coherent testing" the frequencyjlomain testing theory based on (DSP) has been studied. The method of testing ADC's frequencydomain parameters has been present. The equations in frequency_domain testing have been given, these equations is used to test the high- speed ADC's frequency-domain characteristic. After analysis and discussion of the measurement result, the main problems that decrease the dynamic performance of higluspeed ADC have been found. These results may also help at a design stage and using stage. Under the "coherent testing" the theory of testing the ADC's transient characteristic has been studied, and the "effective sampling" technology has been present. The technology was used in the test of ADC's transient characteristics. Under the "coherent testing" the theory of testing the ADC's differential Gain(DG) and Differential Phase (DP) has been studied, the method of testing DP and DG has been present. The formulas have been given. The technique is used to test DP and DG, the values of DP and DG are derived.
