The WAN Of Polar Research Institute Of China

Polar Research Institute of China (PRIC) is the domestic base for Chinese National Arctic/Antarctic Research Expeditions (CHINARE) and is in charge of running and managing the M/V Xuelong, Chinese Antarctic Great Wall Station and Zhongshan Station.For long years Chinese Antarctic Great Wall Station and Zhongshan Station did not communicated with other places in the world. Many science review information can not get from the South Polar. The domestic information also can not mail to the South Polar. So the research will be about the network between the South pole and the PRIC in Shanghai.The thesis will talk about the whole network. These WAN networks will estate the circuit from China to Great Wall Station and Zhongshan Station. Through the IP WAN, the voice and the mail will be transmitted. The other information such as pictures can be transmitting. This system can provide the service for the members of station. Because of the scurvies environment in Antarctica, the stations can not communicate to the other places. This problem can be settled by satellite communications technique, computer network technique, WLAN technique and WiMAX technique.
