Discourse Study On Medical Reports Of The China Youth Daily (2005-2015)

The public media have the function of monitoring the social environment and guiding public opinion.With our doctor-patient relationship tensing increasingly,clashes have occurred between doctors and patients,medical reports are considered to be the important factor affecting the doctor-patient relationship.Objective and impartial news reports can provide the visul angle of rational thinking for target audience,and the negative impact of biased reports have brought to society can not be ignored.Therefore,we need to adopt scientific methods,study on the characteristics and problems of the medical reports of the mainstream media in China.This paper selected The China Youth Daily as an example,starting from the content of news reports,explore the features of topic structure and theme presentation,thus showing the development process of the medical report and analyze the current situation of China's medical reports.Using the theory of discourse analysis from the Dutch scholar Teun A.Van Dijk Dutch,This research select 1074 medical reports of The China Youth Daily from 2005 to 2015,and undertake analytical studies in the aspects of news topics,news schema and news rhetorical.The characteristics of the medical reports of The China Youth Daily as follows: first of all,The medical reports of The China Youth Daily present the comprehensive themes and better problem consciousness in the media industry.And these reports not only embody the media informed functions,but also take responsibility for the responsibility of social supervision.Secondly,the China Youth Daily medical reports have comprehensive schematic structure,and diverse rhetoric,the text arrangement a reasonable balance,in favor of the report relating to outstanding.Finally,the China Youth Daily medical reports,especially the event reports pay attention to details,scope and presenceAt the same time,the study also find some deficiencies among The China Youth Daily medical reports: First,Medical reports are partly difficult and social news aim at novelty.Second,issues reports and performance reports are stylized more than enough creativity.Third,the sources and the background of the reports are unitary,which lack of thickness news.Fourth,the reports present double vulnerability discourse imbalance among doctors and patients.Through the analysis of The China Youth Daily medical reports,this study summarize its characteristics and the insufficiency,in order to appeal the attention of the news media and promote creating healthy propagation mode of medical reports.In future news practice,the media could show multi-angle of view in all-sided ways,Optimize schematic structures,handle the relationship between the news rhetoric and news facts change the situation of double vulnerability discourse imbalance among doctors and patients,build fair and open communication platform,and enable the media to solve the problems in this area and develop harmonious doctor-patient relationship.
