With the development of intelligent power grid and the Internet of things technology and user's requirements of power supply's reliability gradually increase. The traditional periodic equipment maintenance already can not adapt to the requirements of power grid development. Real-time temperature monitoring of the power system will gradually become more necessary. At present, the domestic power grid has made great progress in the automatic monitoring of power, but in the field of non power monitoring is still in its infancy.According to many years of substations'operating experience, most accident is due to the damage of the retrograding busbar, cable, transmission lines and all kinds of their joints by the long time running and the excessive local temperature. And it will cause fires and large area blackout, and bring great economic losses to peoples and industry.The application of on-line monitoring system shows that the system can timely detect the detection of insulation defects and defend the equipment's safe operation. In last decade, all kinds of electrical equipment on-line monitoring technology were research and development. Especially, application of monitoring for capacitive equipment's tg???C??I and leakage current in arrester has been made great achievements. The devices include centralized type, federal type and portable type. Some test power equipment's insulation damp is found in real time by them, so people can take timely measures to avoid the occurrence of more blackouts, and ensure the safe operation of the power system. They have achieved certain social benefits and economic benefits. Some monitoring projects such as measurement of tg8 and arrester leakage current derive the standard for on-line monitoring.Overheating of electric power equipment often occurs. In order to ensure the safety of the power equipment and improve the operation reliability, the temperature of the equipment needs to be monitored online and alarm need to be raised when temperature exceed the limit. According to incomplete statistics, at present, many power equipment' substation refused, enclosed busbar, isolating switch, cable top of domestic power companies at Hebei, Sichuan, Liaoning and Gansu arise different degrees abnormal temperature changes for retrograding and poor contact which triggered the accidents.In the background of intelligent substation and Internet of things technology and business requirements, this article proposes a RFID wireless transmission based temperature measurement technology. Our system can incessantly monitor the transformer, switch cabinet, switch and other key equipment's temperature in the substation on-line all day long in real time. When the key node's temperature is abnormal, it will alarm and inform the personnel to deal with it timely. It will supply maximum defend for the substation equipment and supplementary for unattended substation.The maintenance interval of the substation is about 3 years,and both of the high voltage side and low voltage side must have the described sensors.So high product quality is required.Thus,it can guarantee they have the capability of continue working over 3 years.
